Our servers record your visit in a log. The log contains the following information:
We store these logs for a month. After the month is up we delete them. The logs allow us to detect when things are not working as expected. For example if our web server is not configured right, or pages are missing.
In addition, if you visited our website through an affiliate link (such as from a designer that recommended us), a cookie will be saved in your browser that helps us make sure the partner receives a reward if you decide to sign up. This cookie has a lifetime of 60 days.
To get get some information about the our visitors, DoNoHarm use Ackee. This analytics software gives us insight about our visitors only in general, but not about individuals per se, as it does not track visitors and does not store any personal identifiable information. You can read their documentation if you are interested in learning more about what Ackee collects.
We store your email address, the URL of your website as well as the billing address you might provide us with if electing to sign up for a paid plan of Monocle.
This information is not shared with anyone beyond our payment processor Paddle Inc.
If one of our affiliate partners referred you and you signed up via an affiliate program, your email address and transaction history will be stored on the platform we use for affiliate management, tolt.io (you can find Tolt's privacy policy here), and will be visible to that affiliate partner.
If you use the Member Site Search feature, you will be required to add a (test or development) member's email and password. If you log in via email and password and use our Product Search feature, you will be required to enter a read-only API key provided by Squarespace. We store these pieces of information in encrypted form and only to be able to provide you with these features.
You can at any time delete your account from the administration interface. If you do not have access to that anymore, write us at support@monocle-search.com and we will delete it for you. We will delete all information about you except any we are required to retain by law (e.g. past invoices).
